We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Stock Controller, to join our team. The role is to ensure that all orders are fulfilled in line with Company issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). This extends to controlling all aspects of incoming goods, placement and location of stock, rotation of stock, short-dated management and supplier returns.
Role And Responsibilities
- Maintain all records required by the Company, the MHRA, and the Home Office in relation to Controlled Drugs, ensuring accuracy and clarity on a daily, monthly, and annual basis.
- Prioritise stock urgently required by the warehouse and sales teams to support business operations.
- Oversee correct stock rotation, ensuring products with the shortest shelf life are sold first, and coordinate regular checks (daily/weekly/monthly) on short-dated, blocked, and damaged lines.
- Conduct rolling stock inventories, including daily counts, with Controlled Drugs, high-value, slow-moving, and fridge lines counted fortnightly/monthly in line with SOPs. Investigate and report all stock discrepancies promptly.
- Complete daily Controlled Drug stock takes, ensuring results reconcile accurately with daily reports.
- Identify and escalate issues relating to slow-moving, short-dated, or damaged stock to minimise wastage and maximise efficiency.
- Validate all customer returns through falsified medicines checks (dates, product, and quantity), confirming that returns match the customer returns note before restocking or arranging disposal.
- Follow MHRA and SOP guidelines when processing product recalls, ensuring all necessary departments and managers are informed and procedures are strictly adhered to.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
