Role Description
In this role you will work as part of our internal office team.
Responsibilities And Duties
- Responsible for predominantly purchasing stock for the branch
- Take overall responsibility for stock control of the branch
- Ensure that the right goods are in stock to satisfy customer demand
- Ensure all stock has the right location
- Make sure any problems/queries are dealt with efficiently to reduce issues with goods received
- Managing aged stock/ returns and damaged stock
- Operate our trade sales counter, providing excellent customer service

Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience of effective buying and stock control is essential
- Builders merchant industry experience would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer literacy – especially with Excel spreadsheets
- High level of numeracy
- Logical, methodical and accurate approach to work
- Ability to liaise and negotiate stock and prices with suppliers with confidence and product knowledge
