Stock Manager - Southampton Hedge End

Stock Manager – permanent position | variabile hours: 26.50 hours/week

SHIFTS CONNINGIOU (flexible) Mon 08:00 – 11:00; Wed 14:30 – 22:00; Thu 09:30 – 13:30; Fri 08:00 – 14:30; Sat 14:00 – 21:00

## About the Role

As Stock Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence and delivering exceptional service to our customers. Operating within a fast-paced online and in-store environment, your responsibilities will include ensuring smooth stock management and optimising performance to meet ambitious targets.

Key objectives include:

  • Leading your team to prioritise target deliverables, such as swift refund processing and rapid order fulfilment for online customers.
  • Maintaining safe, efficient communication between your stock team, your Store management, and wider logistics functions.
  • Coaching, motivating, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement—so your team can perform at their best.
  • Ensuring high standards in accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency while adapting to changing demands.
  • Keeping rapid, reliable communication initiatives in place to meet real-time business needs.

## Your Responsibilities

As a Stock Manager, you’ll drive change and results through:

  • Collaborating with the Store management team, supporting operations across back-of-house and maintaining effective communication with the Store Manager.
  • Managing your team to execute accurate stock processes, keeping every operation operationally efficient, safe, and target-aligned.
  • Creating a supportive, empowering work culture where coaching, motivation, and encouragement are central to team success.
  • Taking a hands-on approach—adapting quickly, problem-solving, and working closely with your team to meet both operational and commercial challenges.
  • Ensuring ideas and updates on target progress flow smoothly to meet business objectives in real time.

Your inspirational leadership sets the tone—not only for stock performance but also for a dynamic, customer-centric environment.


## Requirements

  • Passion for our customers, team, and products, with a drive to inspire energy and motivation in others.
  • Strong leadership with people skills—experiences in coaching, motivating and fostering team spirit, backed by a calm, approachable demeanour under pressure.
  • High adaptability—an aptitude to working in a results-driven, fast environment and quickly aligning your team to new challenges.
  • Exceptional problem-solving & business decision-making, with the ability to challenge outdated processes and innovate solutions.
  • Must be an effective multitasker, able to plan workloads, prioritise efficiently, and stay organised amidst diverse tasks.
