Job Description

The Role:

We are looking for a Stocktake Audit Analyst to support the accuracy and integrity of stocktake results across the business.

You will analyse and investigate stocktake audits, monitor daily audits relating to theft and stock corrections, and identify key discrepancies for escalation. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will ensure all stores complete required audits, support investigations into stock concerns, and maintain accurate reporting.

The role requires close collaboration with Area and Regional Managers, Loss Prevention, Buying, Warehouse and Retail teams to resolve stock issues, improve stock accuracy, and ensure the smooth delivery of the stocktake process.

This role is based Monday to Friday at our Shirebrook Head Office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse stocktake audit results across multiple stores and business fascias, ensuring accuracy and thorough investigation of discrepancies.
  • Monitor and review daily audits relating to theft, stock corrections and ad-hoc business requests.
  • Ensure all stores complete the required audit activities within each stocktake period.
  • Identify, investigate and report significant audit variances and stock discrepancies to management.
  • Support the detection and escalation of potential employee theft concerns identified through audit investigations.
  • Manage and resolve stock-related issues and complaints ahead of scheduled audits to enable an efficient stocktake process.
  • Produce, maintain and update stocktake administration and reporting to support business operations and audit compliance.
  • Track and communicate key stocktake performance metrics and findings to the line manager.
  • Build strong working relationships with Area Managers, Regional Managers, Loss Prevention, Buying, Warehouse and Retail teams to resolve stock-related issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of stock accuracy, audit processes and stocktake controls across the business.
  • Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple audits and competing priorities simultaneously.

Qualifications

  • Experience working across Retail is a must and knowledge of stock is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and an ability to analyse high volumes of data as well as demonstrating an ability to focus on higher level overview
  • Must have a critical eye for detail
  • Proven ability to solve problems creatively
  • Able to work well under pressure and on own initiative
  • Ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise work schedule for self and work within agreed timescales set by Line Manager
  • Possesses outstanding organisational skills whilst being able to prioritise work accordingly
  • Excellent PC literacy and a working knowledge of Microsoft packages – must have a good level of understanding in Excel
  • Excellent communication skills with people at all levels
  • Show respect to others in a positive manner and build strong working relationships
  • Strong team player and role model, capable of gaining trust from your team and peers
  • Enthusiastic, positive, resourceful and resilient.
