Stonemason Role
As a Stonemason, you will play a key role in crafting and maintaining high-quality stonework across the estate. You will be responsible for cutting, shaping and installing natural stone to build and repair a variety of structures, including estate walls, farm buildings, residential properties and landscaping features. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, craftsmanship, physical resilience and a strong understanding of construction methods and materials.

Hours: Full time, 40 hours per week
The role:
- Cut, shape and finish natural stone using both hand tools and power tools
- Lay and fix stone for walls, buildings, paving and decorative features
- Repair and restore damaged stonework, including repointing buildings across the estate
- Read and interpret technical drawings and plans
- Accurately measure and mark stone for cutting and shaping
- Mix and apply mortar and other adhesives as required
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards
- Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they remain in good working order

About you:
- Previous experience in stonemasonry or construction
- Skilled in using hand tools (such as chisels and hammers) and relevant machinery
- A keen eye for detail and a passion for quality craftsmanship
- Physically fit and capable of handling heavy materials
- Knowledge of different stone types and their properties
- Strong basic maths skills for measurements and calculations
- A willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
