Stop Smoking Practitioner (ED Based) – One You Lincolnshire

Join us on our journey to empower over a million people to change their behaviours and thrive!

At Thrive Tribe, we deliver award-winning healthy lifestyle and wellbeing programmes that make people happier and healthier. We’re looking for a Stop Smoking Practitioner to join our One You Lincolnshire service and deliver within local hospital Emergency Departments.

One You Lincolnshire is an Integrated Healthy Lifestyle Service supporting local residents since July 2019 with:

  • Smoking Cessation
  • Weight Management
  • Alcohol Reduction
  • Physical Activity
  • Health Coaching

Recently expanded to include:

  • Child and Family Weight Management
  • Strength and Balance for adults aged 65+

About the Role

Like all roles at Thrive Tribe, work will be fun, varied, and challenging. Flexibility is key— Traditional job descriptions are relics of the past!

Your Daily Responsibilities (Typical Day)

  • Deliver evidence-based interventions focused on:
    • Smoking cessation
    • Behaviour change
    • Psychological support
  • Save lives by helping smokers quit for good
  • Deliver stop smoking clinics in hospital Emergency Departments and conduct telephone appointments, working one-to-one and in groups
  • Collaborate with hospital staff and colleagues in Secondary Care to improve uptake and meet targets
  • Raise awareness of Smoking Cessation support among ED attendees
  • Ensure excellent and safe client experiences through adherence to Thrive Tribe policies and procedures
  • Engage in relevant training including:
    • National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Treatment Excellence (NCSCT)
    • Behaviour Change Level 1 & 2
  • Contribute to service developments across Thrive Tribe by sharing knowledge and resources
  • Comply with Information Governance and Clinical Governance requirements
  • Help embed Thrive Tribe’s values in daily work

Desirable experience:

  • Prior delivery experience in supporting clients to make healthier lifestyle choices (though full training will be provided)
  • Experience with NCSCT Stop Smoking Advisor training (a plus!)

Contract & Salary

  • 1 x Full-Time-permanent role (37.5 hrs/week)
  • Starting salary of £24,785/year

Location: Hybrid model (majority of time in Lincolnshire, car ownership desired; ability to work from office or home when not delivering sessions)
