Store Assistant

What You’ll Do

Store Assistant in Edinburgh Seafield

  • Hours: 10 hours per week
  • Location Requirements: Candidates must live locally and be able to easily commute to the store.
  • Operating Hours: Must be available to manage starts from 7:00 AM and finishes by 8:00 PM.

More Than Just a Store Job

  • Customer service: Be the friendly face of Toolstation, helping customers find what they need.
  • Deliveries and logistics: Hands-on work including delivering items and warehouse tasks.
  • Stocking and warehouse duties: Unpack stock, keep shelves organised, and prepare orders.
  • Customer interaction: Be prepared for early mornings or late finishes (work environment can range from hot summers to chilly winters).
  • Team collaboration: Committed to delivering excellent service, willingness to learn and adapt.

Experience:

  • No retail experience required. We will train you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling orders & deliveries: Get hands-on with deliveries, unpack stock, maintain store cleanliness, and prepare orders.
  • Customer service: Provide outstanding support, whether assisting with customer enquiries or maintaining efficiency during busy periods.
  • Engaging with customers: Show genuine interest in customers’ projects to help them find the right solutions.
  • Promoting and selling: Be proactive in selling Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts to customers, highlighting the benefits of membership and discounts.
  • Customer growth strategy: Ensure customers experience great deals and competitive prices through club membership.
