Store Assistant
Store Assistant – Full-time (20 hours/week) – Lymington A hands-on opportunity to grow your career with one of the UK’s fast-growing retailers
About the Role
We’re seeking committed local candidates to join our Store Assistant team in Lymington, where your passion for customer service shapes a lasting career in retail.
Your role goes beyond assisting customers—you’ll be the heartbeat of the store, handling deliveries, stocking shelves, and contributing to a dynamic team that values growth and teamwork. No prior experience is required, just the determination to excel and a positive, energising attitude.

Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide friendly, efficient, and expert help to customers, whether they’re trade professionals or DIYers.
- Assess customer needs through active listening—ask the right questions to solve their challenges and recommend product solutions.
- Upsell Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts, explaining how members benefit from discounts, competitive pricing, and convenience.
Store Operations
- Mgmting deliveries: Unwrap, organise, and stock goods to keep shelves neat and accessible.
- Productivity focus: Proactively assist during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.
- Maintenance: Cleaning, tidying, and setting up product displays to maintain high store standards.

Essential Requirements
- Lived experience in Lymington with reliable transport to commute—our store operates 7 AM to 8 PM.
- Ability to take early starts, handle occasional late finishes, and remain ready for flexible schedules.
- A customer-centric personality: Energy, empathy, and the desire to make people’s projects easier.
- Attention to detail: Ensure our store’s** image is pristine**—whether welcoming clients or handling stock.
Bonus, but not essential:
- Basic first aid knowledge (if keen to join our emergency response team).
- Team player who encourages others and helps foster a supportive work culture.
