Store Assistant
Store Assistant – Hertford (20 hours per week)
About the Role
We are looking for local candidates who can easily commute to our Hertford store. Our stores operate 7 AM to 8 PM, so you must be prepared for early starts and late finishes.
At Toolstation, we focus on helping you grow – many of our managers started as Store Assistants and now run their own stores.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the friendly face of Toolstation, assisting customers in finding products while supporting warehouse tasks, deliveries, and stocking shelves.
- Handle deliveries, unpack stock, maintain store cleanliness, and prepare orders with enthusiasm.
- Deliver exceptional customer service – ready for busy periods and proactive problem-solving.
- Understand customers’ needs to recommend the right tools and products, ensuring they get the job done efficiently.
- Promote Toolstation Club and Trade Accounts, helping customers access competitive pricing and deals.
