Store Assistant Manager & Pawnbroking Appraiser

About the Company

Prestige Pawnbrokers, one of the UK's leading luxury asset lenders and retailers, is looking for an experienced Store Assistant Manager & Pawnbroking Appraiser to join our Richmond branch. Featured on Channel 4's Posh Pawn, we specialise in luxury watches, fine jewellery, designer handbags and other high-value assets.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in pawnbroking, luxury retail or jewellery who is ready to combine expert appraisal skills with store leadership. Working alongside the Branch Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day running of the store while delivering exceptional customer service and carrying out expert valuations of luxury assets. You'll lead by example, support and motivate the team, drive commercial performance and ensure the branch operates efficiently and compliantly.

Responsibilities

  • Appraise luxury watches, jewellery, diamonds, designer handbags and other high-value assets.
  • Support the Branch Manager with the day-to-day operation of the branch.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting customer relationships.
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve sales, lending and customer service targets.
  • Assist with staff training, branch performance and operational excellence.
  • Support opening and closing procedures, cash management, compliance and security.
  • Promote luxury retail sales and identify opportunities to grow the business.
  • Ensure company policies, AML regulations and operational standards are consistently met.

Qualifications

You’ll have experience in pawnbroking, luxury retail, jewellery, watches or another valuation-led environment, together with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.

Experience working with luxury brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Hermès, Chanel, Patek Philippe and Tiffany & Co. would be an advantage.
