Role Overview
As a Store Colleague, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer experiences daily. Your responsibilities include:
- Engaging with customers confidently, offering support, and ensuring they leave happy.
- Maintaining a sharp, well-presented store by updating displays, restocking, and keeping the shop floor clean.
- Assisting with day-to-day tasks, from manual till work to restocking while adhering to safety and operational standards.
- Working in a fast-paced retail environment, learning new skills, and growing within a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:
- Welcome customers with confidence and enthusiasm, offering friendly assistance and product recommendations.
- Use in-store technology (e.g., stock checks, POS systems) to enhance the customer experience.

Store & Operational excellence:
- Ensure the shop floor remains neat, tidy, and visually appealing by refreshing displays and replenishing stock.
- Keep all areas clean, organised, and compliant with JD’s standards.

Daily Store Support:
- Assist with revenue-generating tasks, including till operations, promotions, and customer transactions.
- Handle restocking and inventory adjustments with attention to detail.
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to store policies.
Requirements & Desirable Attributes
Essential
-A positive, energetic personality suited to a customer-focused retail environment.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence in interacting with customers and collaborating with team members.
- Willingness to learn and embrace new techniques, tasks, or challenges.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, evenings, and seasonal peaks.
Desirable
- A genuine passion for JD’s brands, current trends, and sports/outdoor lifestyle.
- Proactive mindset—approaching customers confidently to create sales opportunities.
