Role Overview: Store Colleague
If you love customer service, retail, and making an impact, JD’s Store Colleague role is perfect for you. In this dynamic environment, you’ll:
- Deliver exceptional experiences by engaging customers confidently and ensuring they feel valued and supported.

- Maintain store standards by keeping displays fresh, stock replenished, and the floor clean and organised.
- Execute day-to-day tasks, including till operations, restocking, and adherence to safety and store guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement:
- Greet customers with confidence and energy, offering friendly, proactive support.
- Provide product insights and assist in selecting high-quality items.
- Provide in-store stock updates, recommendations, and personalised service using digital tools.

Merchandising & Presentation:
- Maintain impeccable store standards—display sexiness, cleanliness, and brand alignment.
- Replenish stock efficiently and ensure products are always accessible.
- Monitor and address soiling, damage or expired stock promptly.

Operational Support:
- Support cashiering operations (cash handling, card machines, returns, and reconciliations).
- Participate in opening and closing duties as required.
- Follow retail safety, loss prevention, and PDQ (inter-store) protocols.
Essential Skills & Experience
- A positive, energetic attitude suited to customer-hostile frontline retail roles.
- Strong communication skills—confident engaging customers and collaborating in a high-pressure, team-driven environment.
- Adaptability—willing to learn quickly, take on additional tasks, and build skills in a supportive learning environment.
- Flexibility—ability to work shifts, evenings, weekends, and busy seasonal periods.
