About JD Group

Established in 1981 with a single store in the Northwest of England, the JD Group is a leading omni-channel retailer of Sports Fashion, Outdoors, and Gyms, with colleagues working across stores globally. JD Sports Fashion Plc was listed on the London Stock Exchange in 1996 and has been a FTSE100 publicly quoted company since 2019. Today, it continues to grow both in the UK and internationally.

We want to be the leading global omnichannel retailer in the sports and outdoor industry. If you share our strategic goals—people-led, innovative, and customer-focused—this could be your opportunity to excel at JD, a company built for today's challenges.

"This is JD. Born in 1981. Built for Now."

At JD, we’re more than a retailer:

  • We don’t just sell sneakers and outdoor gear; we set trends, break barriers, and build communities.
  • Your role—whether on the shop floor, behind the scenes, or driving innovation—directly shapes the future of our industry.
  • Our culture is fast-paced, fearless, and ambitious, valuing authenticity, collaboration, and relentless progression.

Your energy, ideas, and personality can make a difference. Are you in?

Role Overview

At JD Group, our mission is clear: we set the pace—not just follow it. As a Store Colleague, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering outstanding customer experiences daily, helping shoppers feel valued and excited about our products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
