Job Overview

Due to service transformation, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join us in the role of Joint Store Co-ordinator for Community Health Services in Milton Keynes. This role is being split across 2 x 0.6WTE positions to ensure cover for this important position which will oversee ordering and delivery of all goods and services for adult and children’s CHS services in Milton Keynes. The post holder will also support collection of consumables for families who have children with complex needs.

The role is situated in the Business Support Team which provides a range of support for Community Health Services. It will play a critical role in ensuring that essential supplies are available where and when needed, supporting the smooth operation of healthcare services.

Main Duties of the Job

The store co-ordinator will be responsible for ordering, receiving, and distribution of clinical and non-clinical stock items for adult and children’s Community Health Services. This includes:

  • Community Nursing
  • Home 1st Therapies (Planned and Unplanned)
  • Specialist Therapies
  • Universal Children’s Services
  • Specialist Children’s Services
  • Community Health Services Management

The post-holder will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring proper storage of stock
  • Maintaining adequate stock levels to ensure services will receive timely deliveries of core stock items
  • Updating stock management systems to reflect movement of goods
  • Liaising with SBS, procurement, and/or suppliers as required to monitor orders

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

  • Proficient in excel and basic computer skills
  • GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a warehouse facility

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of digital stock management systems
  • IT qualification e.g. ECDL
  • Full, valid driving license

Knowledge and Experience

Essential criteria

  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisation skills
  • Previous experience of customer service
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working with the NHS or healthcare
  • Experience of working within a stock control, purchase, supply/ logistic environment

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel to various sites
  • Ability to work flexibly if required
