Quest Search & Selection are currently recruiting for a Store Manager to lead the store team in delivering business objectives and operational excellence, while maximising profitability and customer satisfaction in a supermarket environment. In this role, you will ensure effective financial control through the correct use of systems and procedures to meet budget targets, and maintain compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies to provide a safe working environment.

This is a relocation role to the Channel Islands - please only apply if you are open to relocation.

This well-established retail brand operates multiple stores and is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences to both local residents and the tourist market.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day running of the store and lead, support and develop the store team.
  • Communicate the brand strategy clearly and motivate the team to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Lead by example, driving sales, performance and continuous improvement across all store operations.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with customers, colleagues and HR to support team development and performance.
  • Support the recruitment, onboarding, training, coaching and performance management of team members.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, operational procedures and brand standards.
  • Maintain high standards of store presentation, stock accuracy, cash handling and back-of-house operations.
  • Plan and deliver promotional activity, peak trading plans and operational checklists in line with business objectives.
  • Monitor, investigate and reduce stock loss, theft and operational discrepancies.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support wider business and customer needs when required.

  • Ideally a minimum of 2 years’ management experience within food retail.
  • Experience within a fast-paced, customer-facing retail environment.
  • Proven leadership, people management and coaching skills.
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Competent in using Microsoft Excel and confident in working with KPI reporting.
  • Demonstrated commercial and financial awareness with a track record of delivering results.
