Store Manager - CoE (Non-Optom)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full Time - 37.5

Recruitment Partner: laura.bradley@boots.com

Lead at the heart of one of our most prominent stores – Sedley Place, London

Are you an experienced optics leader who thrives at scale, brings out the best in large teams and is ready to step into a flagship environment? At Boots Opticians Sedley Place, this is more than a Store Manager role – it’s an opportunity to lead a high-profile, newly refitted store where performance, patient care and brand experience come together in a fast-paced central London setting, and where the care your team delivers makes a real difference to how people see and feel every day.

As one of our flagship locations, Sedley Place showcases the very best of Boots. It’s where new ideas land first, where standards are set, and where strong leadership is felt across every part of the store. With a well-established team of around 20 colleagues and a busy, high-energy environment, this is your chance to set the tone, build on strong foundations and drive the next phase of performance.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real influence. You’ll be visible on the shop floor, supporting your team through busy days, coaching in the moment and creating an environment where people feel confident to deliver their best. You’ll balance commercial performance with outstanding patient care, working closely with clinicians and senior stakeholders while using insight to keep improving how the store performs.

We’re looking for a strong, experienced leader with a solid optics background and proven success leading large teams (ideally 20+ colleagues), preferably in a flagship or high-profile environment. You’ll bring credibility, clarity and energy — driving service standards, developing your team and delivering consistent commercial results in a fast-moving store.

In return, you’ll step into a well-supported, high-performing flagship environment, working full time across 5 days, Monday to Sunday, with excellent transport links and a structured 12-week induction to support your success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
