Convenience Store Manager – Morrisons Daily

The Role

We are looking for a dedicated ‘shopkeeper’ to lead one of our busy convenience stores.

What This Role Involves

As the heart of your store, your mission will be to:

  • Serve your customers
  • Support your colleagues
  • Champion your local community
  • Ensure the store remains the best place to work and shop

Your responsibilities will span four key impact areas:

1. Customer & Commercial Performance

  • Develop an entrepreneurial spirit, treating the store as your personal business and creating innovative ways to:
    • Improve revenue and sales
    • Optimise cost efficiency
  • Lead your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring it stands out in the market and aligns with the Morrisons brand promise

2. Team Leadership & Development

  • Oversee all people activities, including:
    • Recruitment, induction and onboarding
    • Ongoing training and development
  • Foster an inclusive culture where colleagues feel:
    • Supported
    • Empowered
    • Inspired to provide outstanding service

3. Operational Excellence

  • Maintain high standards in every operating area, including:
    • Strict compliance with health & safety regulations
    • Rigorous food hygiene checks
  • Ensure the store is attractive, safe, and runs efficiently—often beyond standard business hours

About You

We’re seeking a visionary leader who can deliver results while building a great team. You don’t need formal retail experience, but we prioritise candidates with the following qualities:

  • Inspiration & Influence: The ability to inspire your team and navigate stakeholders with bold ideas
