The Role
We are looking for a dedicated ‘shopkeeper’ to lead one of our busy convenience stores.
What This Role Involves
As the heart of your store, your mission will be to:
- Serve your customers
- Support your colleagues
- Champion your local community
- Ensure the store remains the best place to work and shop
Your responsibilities will span four key impact areas:
1. Customer & Commercial Performance
- Develop an entrepreneurial spirit, treating the store as your personal business and creating innovative ways to:
- Improve revenue and sales
- Optimise cost efficiency
- Lead your team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, ensuring it stands out in the market and aligns with the Morrisons brand promise
2. Team Leadership & Development
- Oversee all people activities, including:
- Recruitment, induction and onboarding
- Ongoing training and development
- Foster an inclusive culture where colleagues feel:
- Supported
- Empowered
- Inspired to provide outstanding service
3. Operational Excellence
- Maintain high standards in every operating area, including:
- Strict compliance with health & safety regulations
- Rigorous food hygiene checks
- Ensure the store is attractive, safe, and runs efficiently—often beyond standard business hours

About You
We’re seeking a visionary leader who can deliver results while building a great team. You don’t need formal retail experience, but we prioritise candidates with the following qualities:
