Store Manager
The UK optical industry is due for a transformation—after three centuries, products remain tired, standards mediocre, and experiences dull. Cubitts is leading the charge to build the world’s most innovative and customer-centric spectacles company.
The Role
A Store Manager will be the linchpin of success for your team and store. With energy, purpose, and full accountability, you’ll drive commercial performance, cultivate a collaborative culture, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Working closely with your Assistant Manager, your focus will be on continuous growth—both for your team and the business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading recruitment, onboarding, and development of a high-performing team, ensuring clear succession plans and personalised growth opportunities for every member
- Fostering a culture driven by engagement scores of 85%+, with a focus on retention and team development
- Guaranteeing operational excellence and commercial performance alignment with business KPIs
- Setting the standard for exceptional service, monitored through NPS (Net Promoter Score) and mystery shop results
- Acting as a brand ambassador, engaging customers with Cubitts’ story, values, and craft, and supporting initiatives that attract and retain new audiences
- Championing excellence in Made-to-Measure and Bespoke services, partnering with your Assistant Manager to ensure a seamless in-store experience for every customer
- Mastering product and optical knowledge, leading complex disbursements, and mentoring your team
- Maintaining a clean, organised store environment, optimising merchandising and stock using data to align with Cubitts’ visual identity and drive sales
- Collaborating across departments to drive improvements, share insights, and promote a high-performance culture
- Upholding the highest standards of professionalism, compliance, and integrity within your team’s operations

Contract
- Type: Permanent (40 hours/week)

- Salary: £34,922.08
- Location: Cubitts Edinburgh (Job Grade: Store Manager UK Level 1)
