The Role
We are seeking a dedicated, service-oriented, and customer-focused Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager, uphold team standards, ensure operational excellence, and drive sales performance.
This role requires:
- A reliable, proactive individual who can step in seamlessly when needed
- A positive attitude and innate ability to model excellence
- Strong leadership qualities – you’ll be a fountain of knowledge on products, standards, and store operations
- A can-do approach, adapting confidently to high-pressure situations while maintaining professionalism
You’ll play a pivotal role in enhancing the in-store experience, meeting sales targets, and upholding company policies on safety, compliance, and merchandising.
Key Responsibilities
Store Operations & Administration
- Support the Store Manager in opening/closing the store, cash handling, stock control, and merchandising
- Maintain a clean, well-organised, and visually compelling store environment
- Assist with weekly incentivises and local promotions, ensuring marketing materials are displayed effectively
Customer-centric Leadership
- Act as a role model for the team, embodying positive energy, product knowledge, and professionalism
- Deliver exceptional customer service, creating memorable experiences for every shopper
- Ensure authentic engagement with customers, fostering long-term loyalty

Sales, Merchandising & Compliance
- Contribute to achieving sales targets and store KPIs, driving sales through customer conversion strategies
- Oversee stock management and inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with visual merchandising guidelines
- Implementation and execution of health, safety, and inventory policies
Miscellaneous
- Perform other duties as required/assigned by the Store Manager
- Remain AAP/EEO committed, promoting equality and inclusivity in the store
Leadership & Operational Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in retail sales, especially in a customer-facing role
- Experience in a supervision capacity is advantageous but not mandatory
- Flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-evolving retail environment
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Intrinsic Skills & Mindset
- Passionate about serving renowned Wolverine brands and their lifestyles
- Reliable, self-starting, and accountable with high levels of responsibility
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to balance multiple demands
- A can-do mentallyit – unafraid to intervene, problem-solve, and elevate operations
Administration
- High School diploma or equivalent
Working Conditions
- Retail environment in the US (for this role specifically) -ержа honetan.
