Store Supervisor
Location – Harwich (Stena Britannica)
Contract – Permanent
Salary - £40,199.04
Are you an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in stock control, looking for a hands-on role at sea?
As a Storekeeper at Stena Line, you’ll experience a unique way of working—living and working onboard the Stena Britannica, sailing between Harwich and Hook of Holland. Working a week-on, week-off rotation, you’ll become part of a close-knit onboard community where teamwork and support are key to success.
Holding valid STCW certification and with experience working at sea, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring all onboard departments—from galley to housekeeping and retail—are fully stocked and operating efficiently. This is a hands-on and fast-paced position where organisation, accuracy, and teamwork are essential.
Some Of Your Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate stores for all Onboard Sales & Services departments including galley, shop, housekeeping, F&B and reception Receive, check, and process deliveries, ensuring accuracy against purchase orders Maintain inventory systems, including stock levels, records, and reporting Monitor stock levels and initiate orders to ensure minimum and maximum levels are maintained Carry out regular stock counts and ensure all stock is secure and accounted for Manage stock rotation, returns, and disposal of surplus or damaged goods Maintain records of receipts, withdrawals, and discrepancies Support supplier coordination and maintain strong supplier relationships Ensure cleanliness, organisation, and compliance within all storage areas Support trip planning to ensure sufficient stock for expected passenger volumes

Who You Are

Qualifications
Valid STCW certification (essential) Previous experience working at sea Experience in stores, inventory, or supply chain operations Knowledge of inventory management systems and stock control processes Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory systems Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Ability to carry out physical tasks, including lifting and handling stock Forklift certification (desirable) Strong communication skills in English (additional languages are an advantage)
