United Infrastructure – Utility Infrastructure
About the Role
United Infrastructure drives critical infrastructure projects across utility and social. Our teams specialise in establishing critical utility infrastructure—encompassing water, energy, gas, power, and telecoms networks—and community-centric social infrastructure, including retrofits, refurbishments, and home revitalisation.
We’re seeking a Warehouse & Stores Team Leader to oversee deliveries, manage stock levels, coordinate with clients and suppliers, and ensure seamless operations across our utility-focused projects.
Responsibilities

Inventories and logistics
- Manage stock requisitions to fulfil customer demands.
- Monitor perpetual inventory, address discrepancies, and ensure adequate availability.
- Produce reports on stock levels and usage.

Operations & compliance
- Liaise with Planning & Site Managers on stock needs and supply chain adjustments.
- Maintain secure, safe, and tidy yard and stores areas.
- Load/unload logistics vehicles efficiently.

Procurement & finance
- Place orders via suppliers and ordering systems.
- Conduct data entry for inventory tracking.

Team leadership
- Manage personnel and ensure effective workload delegation.

Ad hoc support
- Support additional otherwise assigned tasks as necessary.
Requirements
- Licences: Forklift/telehandler licence (desirable), UK Driving Licensing (valid for 3.5-tonne flatbed/half truck).
- Technical: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software.
- Experience: Understanding of time management and/or water/utility supply chain operations preferred.
- Professional:
- Ability to oversee multiple operational responsibilities with detail-oriented accuracy.
- Commitment to maintaining health and safety in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
