About the Role
Play your part in keeping essential defence operations moving by joining Babcock, where you contribute to a safe and secure world.
As a Stores and Inventory Assistant at RAF High Wycombe, you will help ensure the supply department runs efficiently. Your work supports accurate management of equipment, materials, and documentation, ensuring they are readily available to maintain operational readiness and objectives.
Responsibilities
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the accounts department with daily supply-related activities
- Supporting the physical issuing and receiving of items within the Clothing Stores
- Preparing documentation for receipt and issue of stock
- Supporting stock-taking and snap-check programmes across stockholding groups
- Ensuring the physical security of stock, assets, and buildings under your control
This role operates 37.5 hours per week on-site at RAF High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, with Monday–Thursday hours of 08:00–17:00 and Friday hours of 08:00–16:00.

Requirements
Essential Experience/Qualifications
- Computer literate
- Able to work on your own initiative
- Flexible and adaptable to changing work practices
- Physically fit and capable of working outdoors year-round
- Experience in customer service or accounts in either a military or civilian environment (desirable)
- Familiarity with MOD logistics procedures and documentation (desirable)
Security Clearance
Success in this role requires the ability to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) / Security Check (SC) security clearance.
