Hays are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly successful manufacturing organisation based in the Ballymena area to recruit a Stores Co-Ordinator. Your new role
As Stores Co-Ordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the stores function, ensuring materials, tools, consumables and spare parts are accurately controlled and readily available to support production requirements. You will maintain stock records, carry out regular stock reconciliations, monitor inventory levels and implement effective stock control processes.
You will oversee goods receiving activities, verify materials against purchase orders, investigate discrepancies, maintain ERP records and support Lean inventory practices. The role will also involve managing Kanban systems, forecasting material requirements, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and leading a small stores team to deliver an efficient and organised operation.

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous experience within a Stores, Inventory, Warehouse or Materials Management role
- Proven experience managing stock, materials and inventory control processes
- Strong organisational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using ERP or stock management systems
- Knowledge of inventory control techniques, including reorder levels and safety stock management
- Ability to investigate and resolve stock discrepancies effectively
- Experience supervising or leading a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Understanding of Health & Safety requirements within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing business priorities
- Manufacturing, engineering or construction sector experience would be advantageous
