From innovative designs to global customer support, we deliver expert solutions for clients worldwide. Based at Meridian Business Park in Leicester, we're a skilled team of specialist engineers working at the cutting edge of power generation machinery.
This is a hands-on role responsible for supporting the efficient flow of materials across goods inwards, stores and production.
You’ll play a key part in ensuring that parts are received, stored, and delivered accurately and on time so production teams can operate without disruption. The role offers great variety, working across goods inwards, stock control, kitting and production support in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
Goods Inwards & Stock Control
- Receive deliveries and check goods against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Report any discrepancies, damages or quality issues
- Accurately book goods into stock systems
- Maintain stock accuracy through effective organisation and stock checks
Stores & Materials Handling
- Safely store and organise parts within the stores area
- Pick, pack and prepare materials for internal use and despatch
- Ensure all shipment documentation is accurate and complete
Production Support
- Prepare and deliver kits of parts to production teams in line with schedules
- Transport materials across site to support workflow
- Work closely with production teams to ensure timely availability of parts

Forklift Operation
- Operate counterbalance forklift trucks for loading, unloading and internal movement
- Carry out daily equipment checks and basic maintenance
- Ensure safe handling and storage of materials
Operational Support
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Support housekeeping, waste management and recycling activities
- Assist with wider operational tasks as required
- Follow all health and safety procedures
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
What success looks like
- Materials are received, stored and issued accurately
- Production teams receive the right parts at the right time
- Stock levels and records are well maintained
- The stores area is organised, safe and efficient
- Strong collaboration across stores, purchasing and production
Essential
- Experience in a stores, warehouse or goods inwards environment, within an engineer or manufacturing organisation.
- Experience of handling high value and delicate goods.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritise workload and work independently
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic IT skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a positive attitude
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks
- Forklift licence (counterbalance), or willingness to be trained
Desirable
- Experience supporting production or workshop teams
- Familiarity with stock control or warehouse systems
- Ability to read basic technical drawings
- Full UK driving licence
Salary and benefits
- Salary range £25,000 to £29,000 dependent on skills and experience and will be discussed from the outset
- 37.5 hour working week, Friday finish at 1.30pm for production teams
