Salary £26,667 per annum plus benefits. 37 hours per week. Office-based at our Dorchester Head Office (DT1 2PJ) therefore we suggest that you reside within 30 miles distance of this location. Permanent position. Closing date for applications: 30.07.26 (Midday)

Are you organised, practical and passionate about making things run smoothly? Magna Housing is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Stores Operation Coordinator who can help keep our teams equipped and our services moving. You will be known for keeping our Stores service sharp, reliable and running at pace, always making sure colleagues have what they need, when they need it. You will be organised, diligent and always looking for better ways to work. If you are passionate about great service and continuous improvement, we would love to hear from you. In this role you will;

  • Support the smooth, responsive running of the Stores function, helping deliver an efficient, customer-focused repairs and maintenance service.
  • Manage the procurement of materials for reactive, planned and cyclical works, helping jobs progress efficiently and reducing delays.
  • Raise, track and receive purchase orders accurately, supporting strong financial governance and process compliance.
  • Oversee the waste facility and Imprest van stock, ensuring both are well-managed, compliant, organised and replenished to support operatives.
  • Maintain accurate stock records, resolve discrepancies and support continuous improvement in inventory management and stock control processes.

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Be highly organised and accurate: You will be confident managing high-volume Stores transactions, maintaining accurate stock records and completing administrative tasks to a high standard. With excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach, you will be able to prioritise your workload, spot errors or discrepancies, and make sure information is recorded correctly to support smooth and efficient service delivery.
  • Work well at pace: You will be confident working in a busy, fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. With strong organisation and a practical approach, you will be able to manage competing tasks, respond to urgent requests, adapt to changing demands and keep work moving efficiently without compromising accuracy or service quality.
  • Systems management: Demonstrable experience using Microsoft Office packages alongside an understanding of stock management and purchasing systems. You will use these tools to manage and maintain accurate data, monitor stock levels, track orders and support efficient ways of working across the Stores function. Your ability to work with systems effectively will help improve visibility, reduce errors and support timely, well-informed decision-making.
  • Communicate and collaborate well: Build positive working relationships, communicate clearly and confidently, and support a “one team” approach across departments, with excellent written, verbal, and numerical communication skills.
  • Bring relevant experience and a proactive, inquisitive mindset: You will bring experience from an administrative, stores or stock control environment, with a good understanding of stock management processes, purchase orders, invoices or financial transactions. You will be confident identifying issues, asking the right questions and using your initiative to solve problems, improve processes and support efficient ways of working.
