We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Haverhill, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous stores, goods-in, or warehouse experience looking for a long-term role with stability and genuine development potential.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, organised individual who takes pride in accuracy and ensuring stock control runs smoothly within a fast-paced production environment.
Pay & Hours
- Circa £27,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
- Full-time, permanent position

Stores Operative Duties
- Receiving and processing incoming goods and deliveries
- Storing and organising materials in line with company procedures
- Picking and issuing materials, consumables, and job kits to production
- Supporting manufacturing with kitting and production preparation
- Carrying out stock checks, cycle counts and reporting discrepancies
- Updating system records including scrap adjustments and stock movements
- Monitoring stock levels and expiry dates
- Packing and dispatching outgoing orders accurately and securely
- Completing shipping documentation as required
- Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised stores area
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in a stores, goods-in or despatch environment
- Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge
- Good IT skills (including Excel and Word)
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure in a methodical way
- Strong team player, but also able to work independently
- Experience with stock takes and warehouse procedures
- Physically fit - able to lift and move materials when required
