We are currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Haverhill, Suffolk. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous stores, goods-in, or warehouse experience looking for a long-term role with stability and genuine development potential.

This role is ideal for a hands-on, organised individual who takes pride in accuracy and ensuring stock control runs smoothly within a fast-paced production environment.

Pay & Hours

  • Circa £27,000 - £28,000 (depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 17:00
  • Full-time, permanent position

Stores Operative Duties

  • Receiving and processing incoming goods and deliveries
  • Storing and organising materials in line with company procedures
  • Picking and issuing materials, consumables, and job kits to production
  • Supporting manufacturing with kitting and production preparation
  • Carrying out stock checks, cycle counts and reporting discrepancies
  • Updating system records including scrap adjustments and stock movements
  • Monitoring stock levels and expiry dates
  • Packing and dispatching outgoing orders accurately and securely
  • Completing shipping documentation as required
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised stores area

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience in a stores, goods-in or despatch environment
  • Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge
  • Good IT skills (including Excel and Word)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure in a methodical way
  • Strong team player, but also able to work independently
  • Experience with stock takes and warehouse procedures
  • Physically fit - able to lift and move materials when required
