Job Purpose
The Warehouse Stores Associate plays a critical role in maintaining seamless warehouse operations at our Leeds, UK facility. You will be responsible for:
- Receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking inventory
- Supporting production, shipping, and clean-room processes
- Ensuring accuracy, safety, and compliance in a fast-paced environment
The role is integral to supporting DePuy Synthes’ clinical and economic goals in orthopaedics and MedTech, making this a definite transfer opportunity for a future independent company.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Receive, inspect, and book in incoming deliveries, verifying quantities and reporting discrepancies to Receiving Inspection
- Store, organise, and locate materials efficiently using warehouse management systems
- Adjust inventory records, support cycle counting, and reconcile variances
Production & Supply Chain Support
- Unload/unpack raw materials/packaging to support line-side manufacturing
- Perform stock replenishment using equipment (pallet jack, forklift if certified, etc.)
- Process shopfloor pick orders and manage shipments, including repackaging and labelling

Quality & Compliance
- Adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety procedures, and 6S housekeeping standards
- Segregate expired/near-expiry chemicals, maintaining updatable records
- Help process returns, defects, and disposal following protocols
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Liaise with purchasing, receiving, production, and finance teams
- Assist in operational meetings and coordinate inventory-related inquiries
Location & Transition into DePuy Synthes
- Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK
- Current Company: Johnson & Johnson (Orthopaedics)
- Future Employment: DePuy Synthes (expectedtransition within 18-24 months)
- As a successful candidate, your employment will transition under DePuy Synthes’ policies, programs, and benefits post-separation.
- Details will be provided during recruit ment and consultation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Have Skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Ability to learn ERP/inventory systems)
- Experience in warehouse/stores or material handling (Not always mandatory)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork to coordinate with departments
- PPE & safe lifting adherence (Relevant training provided upon hire)
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain it) (not always mandatory but advantageous)
- Experience using warehouse management systems (ERP)
- Cycle counting/inventory audit support
- Leadership in lean/6S/manufacturing compliance
