We are looking for a Stores Operative to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe Dungnanon.

This role involves working as part of a team responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient control of stock and the physical counting of goods. You will play an important role in supporting production operations, maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, and safety within the stores area.

Key Information

  • Competitive rate of pay

  • Work Pattern: 18.00pm to 02.15am, Monday to Friday as a part of the Team C.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out accurate cycle counts and ensure stock is issued correctly to the production floor.
  • Follow stock rotation procedures (first in, first out).
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, ensuring good housekeeping at all times.
  • Ensure all incoming stock is correctly counted and recorded.
  • Adhere to company policies, Health and Safety standards, and reporting procedures.
  • Use the Protean system and complete relevant paperwork accurately.
  • Keep the stores area tidy and organised.
  • Wear correct PPE at all times.
  • Work with the team to ensure all deliveries are dealt with in a timely manner.
  • Carry out any other duties as required.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and write clearly.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Flexible and willing to work additional hours if required.
  • Willing to train and operate a counterbalance forklift as needed.

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Awareness of the food processing industry.
  • Previous food handling or factory experience.
  • Experience with Moy Park processes (advantageous).
  • Knife or butchery skills.
  • Data recording or computer/keyboard experience.
  • Forklift licence and/or full UK driving licence.
  • Good interpersonal skills and hygiene qualification.
