We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a stores person to accurately receive, store and issue stock materials in accordance with customer and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring materials received, corresponds with delivery paperwork and that any discrepancies are investigated;
- Ensure requests for materials are received, located and properly actioned in accordance with procedures and that the materials system is updated accordingly;
- Ensure containerised units are fit for purpose prior to packing and despatch
- Ensure materials stored in the Warehouse and external storage areas are done so in compliance with procedures, e.g. correctly identified with stock codes, location and weights and protected from environmental damage;
- Completion of Dangerous Goods declarations and other documents for manifesting purposes.
- Operation of forklift trucks of the required capacity in full compliance with the designated task and applicable safe systems of work, speed limitations and HSE standards;
- Deliver stock accuracy by operation of the materials system, undertaking regular stock checks and ensuring written-off stock is disposed of correctly
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the Warehouse and operating areas
- Ensure work is carried out in a cost-effective manner
- Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 0-5T Counterbalance Forklift truck
- IOSH Managing Safely
Minimum Competencies:
- Broad operational experience and proven track record in the oil and gas industry, specifically within a warehouse/materials function.
- Awareness of UK Oil and Gas Guidelines and demonstrated experience in implementing the same.
- Diligence in relation to health, safety, environment and quality, articulated though exemplary personal HSEQ standards.
- Excellent customer relations skills with ability to communicate at all levels.
- Ability to plan and organise workload whilst being flexible to cope with changing priorities.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Client System ie SAP/Maximo.
- Focused on service delivery
- Oil and Gas Materials Product knowledge
- Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team
- Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation

Desirable Qualification / Competencies:
- 5-15T Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck
- Very Narrow Aisle Forklift Truck (VNA)
- Reach Truck 0.5T
- Overhead Crane
- Combi-Lift Truck
- Knowledge and understanding of H&S Legislation.
- Knowledge of ASCO operating policies and procedures
- HSE Related Training;
- Dangerous Goods by Sea Certificate
- HSSEQ
In partnership with the HSSEQ department, ensure the continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance and compliance to all laws, regulations and industry standards/codes.
Reports all incidents or breaches of policy or regulations to the line manager.
Fully endorse the ASCO 'Stop the Job' policy and commitment to proactive intervention where an unsafe act or condition is observed.
Adherence to the ASCO's integrated management system ensuring document control and improvements to key processes is maintained.
