Hours: 39 hours per week
Working Hours: Mon–Thurs 07:30–16:00 | Fri finishes at 15:00
About The Role
We’re looking for a Stores Person to join the team at HMP Holme House. If you’ve previously worked in a stockroom or stores environment and enjoy hands-on work, this role could be a perfect fit for you.
You’ll support day-to-day operations by:
- Managing stock effectively
- Delivering items across the site for staff and workshops
- Assisting in supervising prisoners working in stores
- Sourcing and collecting items when needed
What You’ll Be Doing
- Keeping stock organised, logged, and securely controlled
- Distributing items to staff and appropriate workshops across the site
- Providing supervision to prisoners working in the stores environment
- Collecting items from local suppliers when required

What We’re Looking For
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a stores/stockroom environment or similar roles
- Confidence in working within a prison setting
- Basic IT skills for inventory and documentation
- A full UK driving licence, essential for site logistics
- Knowledge around manual handling (a bonus)
Additional Requirements:
- We’ll assist with obtaining required security clearance and a Standard DBS.
- Qualification or training in security/warehouse management may be advantageous
