Stores Personnel Opportunity

We're seeking a talented and motivated Stores Personnel to join our innovative team in Deeside, North Wales. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to our mission to provide the most advanced and highest quality manufacturing and production facilities in the UK. What You'll Do

  • Responsibility: Uphold the smooth operation and functionality of the main engineering stores along with any other onsite smaller stores. Ensure continuous operation and performance to world-class manufacturing standards and support the Shotton Mill site.
  • Operation: Work proactively within the engineering team to provide excellent service with the goods inwards, goods receiving, and stores counter.
  • Communication: Uphold seamless communication with all operational site-wide employees to ensure parts are available for the day-to-day operation of the site.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering planners and other members of the engineering team to utilize the work order process for both preventative and reactive maintenance.
  • Supplier Liaison: Liaise with suppliers about deliveries and discrepancies with stock, whilst keeping accurate records of shortages and spares.
  • System Utilization: Utilize the engineering systems to day-to-day operation of the engineering stores.
  • Point of Contact: Be a point of contact within the stores to assist with daily queries and support sitewide.
  • Adherence: Adhere to the goods receiving process to ensure safety and accuracy within the stores.
  • Repair and Refurbishment: Assist the store lead with the repairs and refurbishment of items with the support of the maintenance team.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct regular inventory checks.
  • Waste Management: Monitor and manage the waste material, ensuring correct disposal routes in line with legislative requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist with continuous improvement and provide creative solutions to identify areas for cost reduction and site efficiency.
  • Operational Safety: Operate stores mechanical handling equipment in a competent and qualified manner whilst ensuring company procedures, legislative requirements, and health and safety guidelines are adhered to.
  • Risk Assessment: Carry out risk assessments and utilize standard operating procedures to ensure safety remains the first priority when carrying out all tasks.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Stores Person or within a similar role.
  • Skills:
    • Excellent housekeeping skills, including time management, attention to detail, and effective communication.
    • Experience of inventory management systems is desirable.
    • Previous experience within a large manufacturing environment.
  • Capabilities:
    • Ability to work methodically and quickly within a large stores environment.
    • Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving stock. Utilisation of mechanical equipment to assist.
    • Effective organization skills to ensure efficient workflow.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
