The Opportunity
We are delighted to offer an opportunity for a PS CH Stores Senior Operator Grade 2 with driving duties to join our Pharma Services team based at our Charnwood site.
In this role, you will play an important part in supporting the smooth running of our Cold Chain and Ambient warehouse operations within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment. Working within a computerised warehouse setting, you will be responsible for material handling, inventory control, goods inwards, issuing materials to production and distribution, documentation, stock movements and ensuring materials are stored, labelled and protected correctly.
This role also includes driving duties and supporting deliveries to and from off-site locations. You will help ensure all transport activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with relevant compliance requirements, including driver and working time regulations.
You will also support specific functional areas within the warehouse, helping to maintain high standards of organisation, accuracy, safety and GMP compliance. This is a varied and hands-on role where attention to detail, teamwork and a proactive approach are key.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out warehouse and inventory control activities in line with SOPs and GMP requirements
- Completing goods-in, issue, receipt, picking and despatch activities accurately and on time
- Maintaining accurate paperwork, stock records and computerised inventory transactions
- Supporting deliveries to and from off-site locations while maintaining transport compliance
- Ensuring materials are correctly labelled, stored and protected from damage or deterioration
- Using forklift trucks, material handling equipment and HGV fleet equipment safely and competently
- Completing pre-shift checks and maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the working area
- Supporting KPI targets through accurate recording and measurement of daily activities

What You Need To Be Successful
To be considered for this opportunity, candidates should have 5 GCSEs, or equivalent, at grades A–C and hold a full clean unrestricted Class C driving licence. (You will need to provide a copy of your driving licence.)
We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate strong communication skills, good attention to detail and the ability to complete documentation accurately and to a high standard. You should be confident working on your own initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate:
- Previous experience driving Class C vehicles and completing point-to-point deliveries
- Copy of full clean licence to must be provided
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work accurately within a regulated warehouse environment
- A proactive and organised approach to daily tasks
- The ability to follow procedures and maintain high standards of safety, quality and compliance
Desirable criteria include:

- A current forklift licence, such as Counterbalance, Pivot and PPT
- Significant previous experience in a senior warehouse operator role
- Previous experience within a warehouse role or pharmaceutical environment
- Previous experience using a computerised inventory system for order booking, stock movements or similar activities
Applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK/IE with no restrictions OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time employment in the UK/IE.

This role requires coverage beyond normal working hours on a regular basis, and it is a condition of employment that the successful candidate is able to fulfil this requirement.
