Job Details
To lead and develop the Corporate Stores Team, overseeing supply chain operations, procurement support, inventory management, and service performance across Fife. Responsible for financial monitoring, management reporting, legislative compliance, and delivering best value. The role provides operational leadership for staff, driving performance, workforce planning, continuous improvement, and efficient service delivery within a commercially focused environment.
The Person
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Stores Manager to lead our stores and distribution function and ensure the efficient management of stock, materials, and logistics operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, with exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy. You will be responsible for planning, organising, and prioritising workloads across the stores team, ensuring the smooth operation of all activities including goods receipt, storage, stock control, picking, packing, issuing, fitting, delivery, and uplift services.

You will possess considerable knowledge and experience of stores, warehousing, and distribution operations within a customer-focused environment. An understanding of inventory management systems, stock accuracy, and continuous improvement practices will be highly advantageous.
As a leader, you will be an effective team manager who can motivate, develop, and support colleagues to achieve high standards of performance. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, stakeholders, and colleagues at all levels.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates a proactive, can-do attitude, has strong problem-solving abilities, and can make sound decisions in a fast-paced operational environment. Above all, you will be committed to delivering a safe, efficient, and high-quality service while driving continuous improvement across the stores function.
