Job Title: Store/Yard Person
Reporting to: Construction/Site Manager
Responsibilities & Duties:
The role will support the site team in the management of plant and materials used on site. An ability to work methodically and with safety in mind at all times will be required. Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Including but not limited to the following:
- Manifestation and checking of goods inwards and outwards against purchasing information.
- Taking delivery of inbound and outbound goods.
- The inspection, colour-coding, control and logging of lifting equipment within the store in accordance with Omexom’s procedure.
- Maintain and update the plant register.
- Preparing equipment for project sites in accordance with the project manager’s instructions.
- Correct storage and handling of fuel, oils and other materials to prevent spills and unauthorised access.
- Fuelling of plant. Maintaining records of fuel for all plant.
- General control and maintenance of the store, ensuring it is in a safe and tidy condition.
- Load all operation including daily inspection and reporting.
- Gate person duties as required.
- Driving duties as required.
- Delivery of materials around site.
- Compliance with Omexom’s policies and processes/procedures in relation to Health, Safety, Environment and Quality as applicable to the role.

Person Specification
Qualifications and experience
- Good knowledge of the equipment and materials in use.
- Full driving license.
- CPCS/NPoRS operator’s licence/training for all terrain load all/forklift.
- Ability to work under own initiative.
- Ability to take instruction.
- Awareness of correct manual handling.
- Awareness of the requirements for storage and handling of hazardous materials.
- Basic computer skills.

Desirable criteria
- Familiarity with Lifting Equipment Regulations (training can be provided).
- CSCS/CPCS/ECS card relevant to the position.
- Banksman/slingers ticket.
