Strategic Account Manager, Airlines - Europe

📍 Location: London Wall (Hybrid: 3 days/week in office)

✈️ This role requires regular travel (internationally) to meet in person with key clients.

About The Role

As a Strategic Account Manager, you will manage and grow a portfolio of existing customers while developing new business opportunities across your territory. You’ll focus on building strong relationships, understanding customer challenges, and delivering solutions that create measurable value. This role combines account development with proactive new business generation to support ongoing growth.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients to optimise satisfaction, engagement, retention, and growth
  • Drive new business sales by acquiring new logo clients
  • Build and deliver short- and medium-term territory and account plans to maximise revenue
  • Identify customer challenges and collaborate internally to deliver effective solutions
  • Communicate Cirium’s products and services aligned to customer business objectives
  • Understand client requirements, purchasing processes, and decision-making dynamics
  • Arrange and lead meetings with clients and prospects (in person and virtually)
  • Maintain accurate records using Salesforce.com and other sales tools

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a revenue generating role with European Airlines.
  • Strong understanding and practical application of value-based selling
  • Experience in strategic account management or similar roles in aviation, SaaS, or information services
  • Track record of delivering growth and consistently exceeding targets
  • Ability to communicate a clear future vision to customers and stakeholders
  • Capability to quickly understand complex data and technology solutions
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and customer focus
  • Collaborative team player with effective internal communication skills
