Strategic Advisor (Grade 44), Retail Grocery
Overview
The Strategic Advisor plays a critical role within our Supply Chain Advisory team by supporting and delivering strategic advisory engagements that help clients optimize and transform their supply chain operations. This role leads design workstreams, develops strategic recommendations, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value to customers.
The ideal candidate has:
- Strong supply chain expertise
- Proven experience in the Retail Grocery industry and/or management consulting
- The ability to translate complex challenges into actionable solutions
The candidate must act as a force multiplier, combining deep Retail Grocery expertise with an "agentic" mindset—an ability to navigate complex transformations autonomously, delivering measurable competitive advantages.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives and projects
- Work with Solution Advisors to build software and advisory services pipelines in the Grocery vertical
- Lead the blueprinting/high-level design phase of projects at key Grocery customers, including:
- Business process design
- Key design decisions
- Enterprise architecture
- Build and present recommendations to customer leadership, ensuring insights are grounded in data and aligned with customer business goals
- Support team leadership in shaping:
- Engagement strategy
- Deliverable quality
- Client communications
- Participate in thought leadership efforts, including:
- Market research
- Internal frameworks
- Executive-ready content
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solution rollouts and strategic initiatives
- Identify and prioritize growth opportunities through:
- Data-driven analysis
- Industry insights
- Ensure high-quality deliverables and client satisfaction

Technical & Industry Expertise
- Deep knowledge of Retail Grocery, including:
- Market trends
- Organizational strengths and gaps
- Whitespace opportunities
- Intuitive understanding of Retail Grocery supply chain mechanics, such as:
- Fresh replenishment
- Promotional lift
- Macro-space category management
- Experience guiding customers through best-practice solution deployments while challenging assumptions early in projects

- Strong storytelling skills to relate solutions to customers’ daily operations and desired outcomes

What We’re Looking For
- Proven industry experience leading business teams in:
- A Tier 1 Retail Grocery organization
- OR experience in management consulting for Grocery clients
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence C-Level executives and a track record as a trusted advisor
- Strong process modeling skills
- Proven track record of delivering successful strategic initiatives in the Retail Grocery industry
