About the Role
As Strategic Buyer, you’ll lead commercial sourcing, negotiation and supplier relationships—driving value and operational excellence across indirect procurement. If you’re a sharp negotiator, excel at market analysis, and crave autonomy while shaping UK procurement strategy, this is your opportunity.
Responsibilities

Source & Procure: Execute end-to-end sourcing initiatives, including RFIs, RFQs and RFPs from development to signed agreements.

Commercial Acumen: Negotiate and secure impactful commercial deals that safeguard InPost’s interests and deliver cost savings or efficiency.

Market Insights: Conduct proactive category trend analysis and spot emerging opportunities.

Supplier Relations: Build long-term relationships with key suppliers, qualifying partners and ensuring mutually beneficial outcomes.

Strategy Execution: Own UK procurement strategy, hit KPIs with clear reporting.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with all InPost divisions to align procurement projects with wider business goals.

Compliance & Systems: Maintain audit-ready tender documentation in SAP or ERP platforms.
Who You Are
We’re looking for an adaptable problem-solver who thrives in a dynamic, result-driven culture. These traits will help you shine:
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in indirect procurement (preferably in relevant categories like logistics, tech, services).
- Deep familiarity with Source-to-Pay processes—from requests to payment execution.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP is a plus).
- Comfortable with analytical frameworks (PESTEL, ABC/XYZ analysis, Porter’s Five Forces).
- Sharpshooter negotiator with a results-first mentality.
- Experience thriving in international or matrix organisations.

Nice to Have
- A CIPS qualification (or equivalent) would add context but isn’t mandatory.
