Strategic Buyer – The Role
We’re seeking a Sharp Supporter and Negotiator to join the UK Procurement Team. If you thrive in fast-paced negotiation, love analysing markets, and enjoy ownership from day one, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end sourcing from Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Quotation (RFQs), and Request for Proposal (RFP). Drive everything from inquiry to signature.
- Negotiate value-add commercial agreements that protect and grow InPost’s business.
- Conduct ongoing market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and emerging suppliers.
- Qualify, evaluate, and build relationships with key suppliers—securing long-term collaboration.
- Execute UK procurement strategy, with clear KPIs and reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functions to deliver tightly scoped projects on time.
- Maintain flawless procurement documentation, always ready for audits.
- Work confidently in SAP and other ERP platforms daily.

What We’re Looking For
We seek driven, problem-solving leaders who enjoy balancing short-term goals while building for the future.
Essential Requirements:
- Experience in indirect procurement in a relevant category.
- Strong knowledge of source-to-pay processes.
- Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems (experience with SAP considered advantageous).
- Comfortable in PESTEL and Porter’s Five Forces analysis techniques.
- Shrewd negotiator with a profit-motivated mindset.
- Experience in international or matrix organisations.
- CIPS qualification recommended, but not essential.
