Buyer – Strategic Procurement Role
About the Role
The Buyer position is a strategic role focused on managing procurement activities to ensure the efficient supply of goods and services. Based in Fife, this opportunity requires a proactive approach to building strong supplier relationships and optimising supply chain operations within a globally renowned, impact-led business committed to innovation and operational excellence.
This is an existing great time to join a dynamic procurement team dedicated to advancing procurement and supply chain efficiency across group operations.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes to support business operational needs
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure cost-effective solutions
- Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with contractual agreements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align procurement strategies with organisational goals
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the supply chain
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Ensure the timely delivery of goods and services to support operations
- Assist in supplier risk management and mitigation strategies

Requirements
A successful Buyer must possess:
- Experience in procurement or supply chain management
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills
- Expertise in procurement processes and industry best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Excellent organisational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with procurement software and analytical tools
- A proactive, results-driven approach to problem-solving
- Ambition to drive cost and process efficiencies
