Job Title: Strategic Consultant/BDM (Banking & Financial Services) - Europe
Location: Remote (England, United Kingdom)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
My client is seeking a dynamic, results-driven, and experienced "strategic" Consultant/Business Development Manager to join their expanding UK team. This role is responsible for leading and driving the growth of an Enterprise wide Managed BPO & IT services portfolio around Core & Digital Banking (FinTech), Cloud, AI, business apps and digital transformation projects within the UK and potentially rolling out across Europe within the Banking & Financial Services industry sector (this is a territory start-up/build out opportunity).
The candidate will possess a deep understanding of IT related Service based offerings around managed, BPO, cloud & complex strategic sales with C-Suite engagement, while having a proven track record of developing business pursuits and capable of building/cultivating new long-term client relationships within the BFSI vertical market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Business GTM Development Initiatives: Identify, develop, and ultimately help close £3M - £5M+ ACV services deals within the Banking & Financial services sector and help to establish this new brand and footprint in the UK & European markets, being based remotely in the UK.
- Strategic Sales: Own the consulting and business development cycle from initial scoping and engagement through to contract negotiation dealing with the C-Suite. You'll create and execute effective strategies to target and engage high-potential clients across the Banking & Financial services industries.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within target BFSI client organisations. Understand client needs, business challenges, and provide tailored enterprise solutions (managed & cloud) to address those needs.
- Go-To-Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay informed on market trends, competitor strategies, and emerging FinTech/ERP/CRM/AI & "Big Data" technologies. Use this insight to guide sales efforts and identify new opportunities.
- Collaborate with Internal offshore teams: Work closely with the marketing, solution architecture, and project delivery teams to ensure proposals, contracts, and project execution are aligned with client needs.
- Revenue Growth and Targets: Achieve and exceed defined targets and KPIs for the region and continuously monitor and improve the pipeline to ensure consistent growth.
- Proposal Development and Presentation: Lead the development of proposals, presentations, and demonstrations, effectively communicating the value of their solutions to prospects.
- Networking and Industry Presence: Attend industry events, webinars, and conferences to further build your own professional network and promote the company’s services within the UK. Represent the business as a thought leader within the FinTech/ERP/CRM/AI & Data Managed/BPO technology services space.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 10+ years of proven consulting and/or business development experience within B2B IT services sales (ideally within the Managed Cloud or BPO FinTech/ERP/CRM/AI or Data space), coming from a consulting, SI or managed/cloud services environment. A strong track record of identifying complex, large-scale £MM ACV opportunities/projects within the Banking & FS domain and working with senior C-suite executives is essential.
- Industry Knowledge & Gravitas: Extensive knowledge of SaaS/AI/Cloud/Transformation/FinTech/ERP/CRM software solutions, implementation processes, and BFSI market trends. Experience with popular Enterprise platforms such as SAP, Microsoft (365 Dynamics), Salesforce, Temenos/FIS, Oracle is preferable.
- Business Development Expertise: Strong background in B2B service sales, pipeline generation, and consulting strategies. Skilled in building relationships and negotiating high-value contracts.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex solutions and engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks. Comfortable with working remotely and across multiple time zones.
- Team Player: Collaborative, with a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams, and to lead initiatives across multiple departments.
- Location: This is a remote role based within the UK (England) and servicing the wide European region. Flexibility with travel to client sites and events may be required.

Education:
A degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
