Strategic Corporate Accounts Manager

Description
As a Strategic Corporate Account Manager at ChemAqua, you will play a pivotal role in supporting one of the world’s leading providers of customised water treatment solutions. ChemAqua, a division of NCH and Solenis Corporation, is recognised globally for its technical expertise, innovative chemistry, and commitment to long-term customer success. The company delivers tailored water treatment programmes that optimise performance, reduce operating costs, and support sustainability across industries.
In this strategic role, you will partner with key corporate clients to deliver ChemAqua’s comprehensive solutions for boiler, cooling, process, and wastewater systems—solutions designed to enhance efficiency, protect critical assets, and ensure safe, reliable operation. ChemAqua’s programmes help customers minimise water, energy, and maintenance costs while aligning with environmental and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Be responsible for large, complex accounts that require a higher level of selling expertise and executive presence to cover multiple customer locations, potentially across geographies, and suppliers.
- Be accountable for identifying customer challenges, crafting solutions with Water Treatment offerings, and providing feedback into the Platform Team for developing and meeting new requirements.
- Develop effective relationships with decision makers and executives at both new and existing customer accounts.
- For each corporate account, provide input and help develop and execute a strategy for future account growth for the NCH Europe business divisions.
- To meet or exceed Annual Sales Goals through direct customer contact, and exceed sales plan (deeper and broader penetration) within defined named accounts.
- Identify, research, qualify, pursue, sign and transition targeted corporate accounts.
- Develop value-based proposals and other content to communicate value, strengthen prospect-relationship; develop senior-level networks.
- Maintain a robust funnel capable of delivering incremental revenue at or above annual goals, including highly accurate and complete funnel analytics demonstrating a strategic ownership of business.
- Prepare financial models forecasting account performance over the life of the agreement, and communicate financial performance expectations across leadership teams.
- Develop and communicate newly signed agreements to support implementation and ensure rapid, complete penetration and revenue growth of those agreements.

Project Work
- To undertake allocated project work in accordance with direction provided by Director of Strategic Accounts and/or the European Water Platform.
- To assist with the design and implementation of key account sales training and supporting material in conjunction with Director of Strategic Accounts and/or the European Water Platform.
People Development
- To support both field-based coaching and classroom training on key account skills, for Sales Representatives within agreed jurisdictions to enhance the Company’s ability to meet current and future business needs.
- Maintain an open channel of communications among all departments and personnel to ensure consistent dialogue, foster initiative, improve customer retention, and maintain engagement.
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to NCH Europe’s health and safety standards, to protect the wellbeing of self and colleagues.
- Use of NCH digital systems (Oracle, SalesForce, Portal, etc.) effectively.
- Have an intimate knowledge and use NCH Sales Process, “Gears of Selling,” and to act as an ambassador and an expert sales coach.
- Ensure adherence with all compliance standards and to operate with integrity at all times.
- Adhere to and drive NCH Europe’s core values.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Minimum of 10 years of senior-level experience in a large company required.
- Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.
- Demonstrated superior sales, negotiation, prospecting, relationship-building, and closing skills and techniques, with a track record of meeting and exceeding agreed-upon sales plans, as well as dealing with complex terms and conditions.
- Persuasive presentation abilities and a strong talent for writing clear proposals and reports.
- Analytical aptitude, with the ability to make quick calculated decisions and recommendations.
- Superior sales management with business and financial acumen skills, with strategic planning and financial modelling experience.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a cross-functional team and communicate professionally with a variety of audiences, from the shop floor to senior management level.
- Attention to detail and project management skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, using tablets and ‘apps’, customer relationship management software (CRM) and sales order management systems.
- Additional European languages advantageous but not essential.
- Postgraduate degree or higher preferably in an Engineering/Science discipline.
- Must have a valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
- Must be mobile and have ability to travel within Europe.
