Strategic Engagement & Improvement Manager

Contract: Permanent

Full time: 34.5 hours, we are open to a conversation about how you work these hours

Location: Mobile Worker, with expected extensive travel across Greater London

Salary range: £55,000 - £61,000 plus car allowance

About the role

You will drive the delivery of a strategically-aligned, dynamic workforce engagement plan within the Professional Engagement Team for Macmillan Professionals and the wider workforce across a defined area – ensuring that they are equipped to deliver the best possible support and care for people with cancer.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Professional Engagement Improvement Leads and Relationship Leads to deliver an evidence based and strategically focused professional engagement plan and Macmillan Membership offer, across a defined area.
  • Ensure that convening, service improvement, peer networking and best practice sharing are at the heart of those strategic delivery plans and membership offers.
  • Share local insight and intelligence to support the delivery of wider systems and community partnerships and the development of professional practice.
  • Hold senior relationships with health and community partners, emphasising the benefits of Macmillan professional membership and spotting opportunity for wider workforce engagement.
  • Ensure equitable reach to Macmillan Professionals and the wider workforce by with a focus on reaching the people who need us most.

About you

This role requires candidates to have demonstrable experience of operating in a very similar or comparable role.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of leading and delivering workforce improvements and engagement plans in health and community settings.
  • Experience of line management and leading a team
  • Excellent communication, people and relationship management skills.
  • IT, data analysis and report writing skills.
  • Full UK driver's licence or ability to travel extensively for work across the Greater London area
