Finance Director – Elite PE-Backed FinTech Scale-Up - London - Permanent

Remuneration: Up to £180,000 + Substantial Equity / Exit Upside

The Opportunity:

JSS Search are exclusively partnering with a high-growth, market-leading FinTech payments provider backed by a premier Tier-1 Private Equity firm. Boasting a first-class track record and an aggressive three to five year exit horizon, this business sits at the intersection of regulated global payments and institutional technology.

As the financial number two, you will work hand-in-hand with an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to steer the business through its next phase of rapid scaling. This is a high-impact, board-facing position combining strategic commercial leadership with rigorous financial stewardship.

This mandate requires a balanced, agile finance leader. While the position demands a heavily commercial outlook spearheading FP&A, business transformation, and supporting future fundraising/M&A initiatives, the lean nature of this high-growth environment requires a candidate who remains grounded in technical financial discipline.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
