Strategic Finance Lead - AI Evaluation Contractor Placed by Crossing Hurdles | Remote | $100-125/hr USD
About the Role
Crossing Hurdles is partnering with a cutting-edge US-based AI frontier lab to recruit senior Corporate Finance professionals for a remote freelance role.
The lab is constructing evaluation frameworks to train AI systems. They need industry experts with hands-on strategic finance experience to:
- Assess AI-generated financial outputs
- Identify logical and methodological errors
- Define what high-quality financial analysis demands in AI contexts
This is not a traditional finance position—it’s consultative expert work where your industry knowledge directly optimises AI performance.
What You Will Do
- Critique and refine AI financial analyses, forecasts, and strategic recommendations
- Pinpoint flaws in logical frameworks, methodology, and financial reasoning
- Deliver structured written feedback that enhances AI accuracy and reliability
- Benchmark competing AI outputs against best financial practices
- Contribute to evaluation rubrics and performance benchmarks for corporate finance tasks

What We Seek
- 5+ years in strategic finance, FP&A, or corporate finance roles (e.g.: FP&A Analyst, Capital Allocation Specialist, Strategic Finance Lead)
- CFA designation or MBA with Finance concentration preferred
- Expertise in financial modelling, forecasting methodologies, business case evaluation
- Ability to articulate errors and reasoning clearly in writing
- Comfortable with autonomous working, clear expectations, and asynchronous project delivery

Compensation & Commitment
- Rate: $100–$125/hr (USD)
- Payment: Via Deel (fortnightly)
- Committment: 15–20+ hours/week (minimum 10+ hours)
