Strategic Manager NOR (SWTRA)

Responsibilities
- To develop, plan and deliver high quality services, placing the Agent’s objectives at the heart of all decision making.
- To set ambitious but achievable objectives for service delivery, supporting accountable and operational managers to meet changing organisational needs, leading by example and taking responsibility for delivering successful outcomes for the Agent.
- To provide effective day-to-day leadership and management across the Service as well as contributing to the leadership of the wider council, role modelling behaviours in line with agent values and working collaboratively with colleague managers to deliver priorities as set out in both the agent’s and council’s Corporate Plans and the Strategic Workforce Plans.
- To support the Head of Service in the development of overarching ambitious and end-user focused strategies and policies.
- To act as an advocate for the Agent and Council, in national and regional partnerships, providing strategic input into initiatives and collaborations with external and internal stakeholders, as applicable.
- To work positively and proactively with portfolio holders, WG officers and ministers, on relevant service matters; preparing reports and briefings; taking into account the special nature of relationships between the Welsh Ministers and the Agent.
