About the Role
We are seeking a strategic marketing professional with 10+ years of B2B experience to lead our Aviation sector as part of the Strategic Marketing team. This pivotal role will champion growth-driven marketing strategies across Europe and India, focusing on brand elevation, pipeline development, and client engagement.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Marketing, you will serve as a senior operational partner to Aviation leadership, Client Account Managers, and cross-regional marketing stakeholders. Your work will directly influence key sectors—with a critical focus on Heathrow and other high-priority accounts—ensuring marketing initiatives drive business impact, strengthen client retention, and create competitive differentiation.
Location: Hybrid (primary office in London, Aldgate Tower)

By the end of your tenure, you will have ensured that the Aviation brand is:
✅ More visible, differentiated, and credible across the UK, Europe, and India. ✅ Strategically aligned with priority accounts and growth ambitions, with a clear focus on Heathrow. ✅ Directly contributing to pipeline development, work winning, and client retention. ✅ **Viewed as a trusted "growth partner" by leadership—not as a support function.
Key Accountabilities
1. Growth & Client Focus
- Act as a strategic marketing partner to Aviation leadership in UK/Europe/India.
- Develop brand-led strategies tailored to high-priority Aviation accounts.
- Ensure marketing delivered through events, thought leadership, and client-centric narratives directly impacts:
- Pipeline growth
- Winning new work
- Enhancing client retention
- Collaborate closely with Client Account Managers (CAMs) to champion client insights and desired experiences across the business.

2. Strategic Marketing Leadership
- Synthesise client and market insights to align marketing objectives with AECOM’s business goals.
- Design and execute integrated multi-channel strategies:
- Regional and global events (flagship brand-alignment campaigns).
- Thought leadership (white papers, case studies, and Media Relations).
- Digital and collateral development (emails, social campaigns, websites).
- Translate complex technical capabilities into compelling, credible stories tailored for Aviation stakeholders.
- Measure success with:
- KPI and dashboard-driven reporting.
- Performance insights to guide iterative campaigns.
- Revenue impact analysis in monthly ROI campaigns.
3. Stakeholder Influence & Leadership
- Work across a matrix representing programs, partnerships, and fellow marketers.
- Build trusted relationships with sovereign leaders, senior decision-makers, and technical specialists.
- Articulate Aviation marketing strategy to leadership, fostering strategic alignment in governance forums.
4. Marketing Operations & Analytics
- Support the Head of Strategic Marketing in:
- Budget tracking
- Reporting
- Performance governance
- Marketing process development
- Monitor and optimise campaigns using data tools such as:
- Engagement analytics
- Return on Investment (ROI) tracking
- Client engagement dashboards
- Contribute to AECOM’s monthly global reporting, ensuring high-stakes insights follow marketing activities.
Required Qualifications
Experience & Vision
✔ 10+ years in Strategic Marketing within B2B environments (ideally aviation, infrastructure, or related sectors). ✔ Track record of growth-driven strategies delivering impact in highly competitive markets. ✔ Global perspective —time zone-awareness, cross-cultural perspective, and flexibility to align regional priorities with global objectives. ✔ Client-Centric focus: Strong relationships with clients and invariably championing their needs at executive levels.
Leadership & Hands-On Skills
✔ Leadership in cross-functional teams, adapting quickly to technical and cultural nuances (aviation teams, operators, government stakeholders, regulators). ✔ Data-driven approach—experience with analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Google Analytics, marketing automation). ✔ Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields.
