What You'll Do
As a Strategic Marketing Senior Manager within BCG's People & Organization Practice Area (PA), you will serve as a strategic marketing leader, shaping the PA's go-to-market strategy, strengthening BCG's external reputation, and partnering closely with Practice Area leadership to position BCG as the leading advisor on people and organization topics.
This is not a traditional marketing execution role. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving business challenges, shaping strategic narratives, influencing senior leaders, and developing innovative go-to-market approaches that create measurable business impact.
Strategic Leadership & Planning
- Define and lead the annual PA marketing strategy, translating business priorities into a coherent, integrated go-to-market plan.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to PA leadership, providing market intelligence, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations that influence positioning decisions.
- Identify market opportunities and competitive white space, proactively proposing and piloting innovative marketing approaches, thought leadership formats, and client engagement strategies.
- Continuously challenge existing ways of working and introduce creative ideas that strengthen the Practice Area's differentiation and long-term growth.
- Set the strategic direction for how BCG POP engages the market through thought leadership, executive engagement, campaigns, and strategic programs, in partnership with BCG's global marketing teams.
Thought Leadership & Content Strategy
- Drive the PA's thought leadership and editorial agenda, ensuring investments align with business priorities and executive audiences.
- Partner with Topic Leaders, BCG Institute Fellows, and senior experts to develop high-impact intellectual property that strengthens BCG's reputation with C-suite executives.
- Shape and champion a compelling Practice Area narrative across publications, executive briefings, digital content, events, media partnerships, and executive communications.
- Inspire and influence Practice Area leaders, Topic Managers, and subject matter experts to actively contribute to the development of market-leading content and intellectual capital.
- Prioritize content investments by balancing breadth of coverage with deeper investment in the Practice Area's most strategic themes.
- Maintain a strong audience-centric approach, ensuring all content is relevant, differentiated, and impactful for senior executive audiences.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
