About the Role

As the Strategic Partnership Manager in Advanced Wound Care, your primary function is to drive Convatec’s growth and profitability by securing market access for wound care solutions within the evolving NHS environment. This includes:

  • Partnering with senior clinical and commercial stakeholders across Integrated Care Systems (ICS).
  • Ensuring first-line inclusion of Convatec products on regional formularies and tenders.
  • A 90% customer-facing field-based role with a company car.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maximise territory performance, exceeding defined sales and performance targets.
  • Drive revenue and growth through new opportunity identification and execution across ICB and provider landscape.
  • Mgmt of territory profitability, with accountability for local profit growth (£ and % targets).
  • Develop and execute comprehensive ICS-wide strategic plans to deliver revenue and market share growth.
  • Implement key account management activities, fostering trusted relationships with:
    • ICS C-suite executives
    • Senior ICB leaders
    • Local providers
    • Wider system stakeholders
  • Build deep NHS expertise, including structures, strategic initiatives, and clinical priorities.
  • Conduct investigative research to identify operational, financial, and clinical needs and propose Convatec solutions.
  • Position Convatec as a trusted provider of safe, effective, and innovative wound care.
  • Collaborate with UKI and wider business teams to attain objectives.
  • Develop and deliver value-added solutions, including value-based procurement.
  • Track and report sales performance and pipeline via CRM.
  • Leverage CRM tools for account management, targeting, analytics, and lead generation.

About You

Essential criteria

  • Proven high-level selling skills, with confidence in complex, senior stakeholder negotiations.
  • Exceptional communication, product expertise, and ability to articulate commercial benefits to ICS decision-makers.
  • Strong understanding of price and profitability for Convatec’s UK profit & loss (P&L).
  • Multi-faceted sales experience, including:
    • Direct selling
    • Influencing
    • Customer relationship management
  • Consistent 100% sales performance with a track record to prove it.
  • Data-driven mindset: analyse, interpret, plan, and implement strategies efficiently.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to lead projects and set personal objectives.
  • Experience balancing short-term and long-term business goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, both internal and external.
  • Exceptional negotiation capabilities.
  • Current NHS knowledge, including structures, strategic priorities, and specialist terminology.
  • Demonstrated NHS product access experience (community or hospital-based), with a proven ability to drive business growth.
  • Comfort working with diverse and culturally rich stakeholders, influential and collaborative.
  • Delivers under pressure, meeting tight deadlines without compromising results.
  • Financial acumen: budget management and resource planning.
  • CRM and Microsoft software proficiency (Excel, PPT, Word).
  • Native-level English (written and spoken).
  • Full UK driver’s license.
