The Role

The Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) in Advanced Wound Care champions value-based solutions to drive growth and profitability in NHS environments. Your key responsibilities:

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) and healthcare providers to secure market access for Convatec products—focused on inclusion in regional formularies and tenders.
  • Maximise territory performance by achieving and exceeding sales targets and broader commercial goals.
  • Drive influential customer engagement, developing hybrid NHS strategic plans (long- and short-term) tailored to revenue objectives.
  • Key Account Management: Build lasting relationships with ICB executives, senior clinicians, providers, Place-Based Partnerships, Primary Care Networks (PCNs), and local authorities.
  • Deepens NHS knowledge, mapping the ecosystem of structures, strategy, and priorities at local and national levels.
  • Uncover varied customer needs (clinical, operational, financial) and shape bespoke solutions to showcase Convatec’s wound care expertise.
  • Leverage CRM tools to enhance lead generation, analytics, and segment-based engagement.
  • Track performance metrics and deploy data-driven insights to inform strategy.
  • Optional remote flexibility: Outreach driven from the UK tertiary.

What Success Looks Like

  • Proven track record of high-performing commercial results, navigating complex negotiations.
  • Ability to manage margins, pricing transparency, and P&L accountability in account-driven revenue growth.
  • Repeatable quality in personal selling, strategic influence, relationship management, and proactive client-first problem-solving.

About You

Essential Criteria

  • Ability to manipulate complex data, blending clinical financials into persuasive outreach (and multi-variant report generation).
  • Eligibility to work in UKI.
  • NHS access methodology expertise: community hospital, local authority or formulary entry defined process-backchannel—commercial ROI model demonstrated.
  • Multi-cultural, high-execution environment: influencing a diverse workforce—clients, colleagues—to execute aligned goals.
  • Ambition to drive complex, competitive environments at trust-levels driving product inroads.

  • MA Review, an STAR Approach; Turnkey Commercial Balanced.
    • A double-bladed skillset: Medical & Financial literacy.
    • CRM Adoption: Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent.
  • Cross-stakeholder managerial overhead.
    • Mapped working frameworks.

  • Technologically versed: proficient in Microsoft 365 suite (Excel pizza some pivot tables + automation), PowerPoint (slide decks) & Word. Have supplementary background using value-based software (e.g., predictive metrics).
