The Role: Strategic Partnership Manager
Core Responsibilities
The Strategic Partnership Manager (SPM) drives Convatec’s growth and profitability in the evolving NHS environment, focusing on Advanced Wound Care. Key duties include:

Market Access & Relationship Building
- Work closely with NHS Integrated Care Systems (ICSs), Integrated Care Boards (ICBs), and NHS providers to secure inclusion of Convatec products on regional formularies and tenders.
- Develop deep clinical and commercial partnerships with senior NHS stakeholders, including C-suite executives, senior ICB leaders, and local health providers.

Territory & Revenue Growth
- Exceed set sales targets in Essex & North East London, driving revenue and market share expansion.
- Manage local profitability at both £ and % levels, delivering ROI-aligned solutions.
- Identify and pursue commercial and value-based procurement opportunities across the ICB and provider landscape.

Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the development of comprehensive, long-term ICS-wide plans that align with sales goals and organisational objectives.
- Utilise data-driven insights to drive decision-making, optimising resource allocation and go-to-market strategies.

Customer-Centric Solutions
- Conduct investigative research to understand NHS operational, financial, and clinical needs, offering tailored Convatec solutions.
- Build trust and credibility as a reliable NHS partner for safe, effective, and innovative wound care.

Collaboration & Reporting
- Work cross-functionally across UKI and wider business teams to support strategic goals.
- Track and report on sales pipelines, performance metrics, and CRM data to ensure accountability.
About You: Key Qualifications
Essential Experience & Skills
- High-level selling expertise – Proven ability to negotiate and close complex deals with high-ranking NHS stakeholders.
- Strong clinical commercial acumen – Understand NHS pricing, margins, and technical specifications required for formulary inclusion.
- Multi-role sales background – Experience in prospecting, account management, influencing, and relationship development.
- Data-driven decision making – Ability to analyse CRM data, sales reports, and NHS trends to elevate performance.
- Dynamic project leadership – Proven ability to initiate strategies, meet deadlines, and deliver sustained results against long- and short-term objectives.
Technical Proficiencies
- CRM mastery (applicable experience with tools like Salesforce or similar).
- Advanced Excel & PowerPoint skills (spot trends, build dashboards, and tailor pitches).
- Robust negotiation & financial management skills (budgeting, resource allocation, and P&L ownership).
- NHS familiarity – In-depth understanding of **ICBs, PCNs, procurement rules, and current NHS initiatives like the NHS Long Term Plan.
Personal Attributes
- High commercial standards – Consistently drive top-decile performance and maintain a track record of exceeding KPIs.
- International perspective – Experience engaging with diverse cultural and technical stakeholders in sales/partnership development.
- Accreditation options: Preference for candidates with Pharmaceutical Sales Experience (PSE) or attended a national postgraduate diploma in pharmaceutical sales.

Logistical Requirements
- UK driver’s license (company car provided, field-based ~90%).
- Primarily NECS locations (NPAS area) including Kenilworth office to host Interim BOGs.
- Proficiency in English (native or advanced fluency).
